The Cape Cod weekend foray will be held for its 16th year on October 13th to the 15th. We will be searching for mushrooms in pitch pine barrens, cedar swamps, beech forests, and interdunal bogs. Bill Neill, who co-authored Mushrooms of Cape Cod and the National Seashore, will be our resident mycologist. Accommodations are in four rustic cottages with shared second-floor bedrooms and baths. Meals are served family style in the center’s dining room.
This year we are attempting to leave a smaller footprint than in years past and will be picking for the ID table and the group’s consumption, but not for home kitchens.
Registration for the weekend will open September 11 and is limited to club members. To reserve your place(s), send an email to Judy, no sooner than Sept 11 at noon; she will send you information on where to send payment.
There are roughly 25 places; once we reach capacity, we will put registrants on a wait list. Full refunds will be given for cancellations before October 1st.
